The export may contain an asset pointer without the original bytes. A local converter should never fetch a remote URL or create a broken link that looks complete. The archive records the missing file in skipped.csv and adds an inline note to the conversation.

• Present bytes receive stable names with a short content hash.
• Links stay relative so the vault remains portable.
• Remote URLs are never fetched during conversion.
